(10:36 a.m. EDT) — Crystal is moving forward with the construction of its third ocean ship after its contract with Italian shipbuilder Fincantieri became effective.
The vessel is scheduled for delivery in 2034. It will join Crystal Grace, which is currently under construction and set to debut in 2028, and her sister ship, which arrives in May 2031.
"Seeing Crystal Grace move from vision to reality has been tremendously rewarding, and today's announcement demonstrates our unwavering confidence in Crystal's future," said Manfredi Lefebvre d'Ovidio, executive chairman of A&K Travel Group. "This third ship reflects our long-term commitment to the brand and to our guests, who continue to inspire us to raise the standard for luxury cruising around the world."
According to the company, the new vessel will accommodate 650 guests and measure approximately 62,000 gross tons. The ship will feature spacious all-veranda suites, including an Owner's Suite, along with new accommodation categories.
Guests will find a wrap-around promenade inspired by the walkways aboard Crystal Symphony and Crystal Serenity, open-air venues and outdoor spaces, including dining terraces for guests who prefer to enjoy specialty restaurants al fresco.
