(8:27 a.m. EDT) — Fresh from a dry dock in France, Royal Caribbean's Liberty of the Seas has resumed service on May 29.
The 2007-built ship underwent extensive revitalization as part of the company's Royal Amplified project, which included a reimagined, Caribbean-inspired pool area, the addition of The Perfect Storm water slides, the Splashaway Bay waterpark, and new private casitas.
The refreshed space also features The Lime & Coconut pool bar, an expanded Casino Royale, and a brand-new Royal Escape Room concept.
Additionally, guests can enjoy their favorite Starbucks drink and authentic Japanese cuisine at Izumi Teppanyaki, which offers a hibachi experience.
New dining options will also be available at the Sabor Mexican restaurant and Giovanni's Italian Kitchen.
Liberty of the Seas welcomed back guests for a short getaway departing from Southampton. Over the summer, the ship will offer itineraries exploring Northern and Western Europe, before kicking off its Caribbean program in the fall.
