The Viking Mira commences operations following its recent delivery to Viking Cruises, with a comprehensive deployment schedule spanning the Mediterranean, Northern Europe, and Arctic regions throughout the 2026 season.
The 998-passenger vessel represents the 13th ship in a series that began with the Viking Star in 2015. The inaugural itinerary launches on June 5, 2026, with a seven-night Western Mediterranean voyage departing from Civitavecchia, Italy.
The opening cruise sails to Barcelona, Spain, with port calls at Livorno, Italy (featuring a two-day stay for Tuscany tours), Cannes, Marseille, and Sète in France. This seven-night itinerary establishes the vessel's operational base in the region.
On June 12, 2026, the Viking Mira begins a 14-night repositioning voyage from Barcelona to Reykjavik, Iceland. The cruise traverses Western European ports including Valencia, Málaga, and La Coruña in Spain; Lisbon and Porto in Portugal; Dublin, Ireland; and Liverpool, England, concluding with an overnight call at Reykjavik.
Starting in July, the ship operates Viking's "Into the Midnight Sun" itinerary with two departures scheduled for July 8 and 22, 2026. These 14-night cruises sail between Greenwich, United Kingdom and Bergen, Norway, visiting Edinburgh and Kirkwall in Scotland; Lerwick in the Shetland Isles; and Norwegian ports at Honningsvåg, Tromsø, Gravdal, and Eidsdal. The Honningsvåg stop provides access to Nordkapp, Europe's northernmost point.
On August 5, 2026, the Viking Mira offers the "Viking Shores & Fjords" itinerary, a seven-night open-jaw cruise from Bergen to Amsterdam. Ports include Ulvik, Stavanger, Kristiansand, and Oslo in Norway, plus Aalborg, Denmark. A reverse routing operates on August 12, 2026.
Before returning to Mediterranean operations, the vessel concludes its Northern European season with a 14-night "British Isles Explorer" voyage on September 12, 2026, sailing from Bergen to Greenwich. This port-intensive itinerary encompasses Lerwick (Shetland Isles); Aberdeen, Edinburgh, Ullapool, and Kirkwall (Scotland); Belfast (Northern Ireland); Liverpool and Dover (England); Dublin (Ireland); and Holyhead (Wales).
