The Guinea-Bissau-flagged cargo vessel Golden Leo was attacked by a Russian cruise missile on 19 July near Ukraine's southern port of Odesa. The attack caused the death of 10 crewmembers aboard the vessel.

According to Ukraine's Sea Ports Authority (USPA) the vessel had 17 crew members including Indian and Syrian nationals. The vessel was departing from the Ukrainian port carrying corn when the missile struck at the starboard side of the vessel that resulted in fire.
USPA reported that a search-and-rescue operation continued throughout the night, and the fire was brought under control. Eight people were rescued and taken ashore, while 10 people, including a Ukrainian maritime pilot, were killed in the incident.
Golden Leo is a 1998-built cargo vessel managed by Friends Shipping Co SA, Turkey. The bulk carrier measures 100.7 meters in length and 18.3 meters in width.
