The Maritime Guard of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine successfully rescued all the crewmembers of bulk carrier Venturo after being hit by a Russian drone in Black Sea.

The Antigua and Barbuda-flagged bulk carrier was disabled and left adrift on 17 July prompting the evacuation of most of its crew by the Ukrainian Navy. However, one crew member, the vessel's electromechanic of Philippine national, remained adrift in a lifeboat in the open sea.
On the evening of 18 July, the personnel from Ukraine's State Border Guard Service located the drifting lifeboat in the Black Sea using surveillance equipment. A Maritime Guard rescue boat was immediately dispatched, and the Filipino seafarer was safely rescued and brought ashore.
The Venturo is a 2011-built bulk carrier built that measures a length of 189 metres, a beam of 32.2 metres, and a deadweight tonnage of 56,947 tonnes. The vessel typically shuttles between the Bulgarian port of Varna and the port of Sulina at the mouth of the Danube River.
