HMM announced that it completed the first shipment of fresh sea urchins from Punta Arenas to the Port of Yokohama, in Japan. The service by which the seafood travels makes a transshipment in San Antonio in containers that feature Ultra Reefer technology.
"This historic cargo is also the first shipment on our WCSA service to be moved using Ultra Reefer technology. What makes this shipment particularly noteworthy is the use of this specialized equipment, which guarantees the highest standards of temperature control and cargo integrity for a highly sensitive seafood product throughout the entire logistics chain," HMM stated on its social media.
"More than a shipment, this achievement reflects HMM's commitment to opening new opportunities, supporting Chilean exports, and delivering innovative logistics solutions for specialized cargo," the company added.
"From Punta Arenas to Yokohama, HMM continues to connect Chilean products with global markets, setting new standards for specialized refrigerated container transport," concluded the South Korean shipping company.
