Iquique International Terminal (ITI), a facility managed by Hanseatic Global Terminals, recorded a 7% increase in container handling between January and May 2026, after totaling 189,640 TEU.
This figure was complemented by the transfer of over 1.3 million tons of cargo and the servicing of 107 vessels, figures that reflect sustained operational dynamism.
ITI's General Manager, Rodrigo Pommiez, emphasized that "these results demonstrate a joint effort with our strategic partners and the commitment of our teams to continue projecting Iquique as a competitive and reliable port."
"The incorporation of new services and the continuous search for development opportunities allow us not only to grow as a terminal but also to contribute concretely to the economic dynamism of the Tarapacá region," added Pommiez.
The executive valued the coordinated work with the different actors in the logistics chain, shipping lines, and clients. The terminal stated that it has been able to materialize new business opportunities, diversifying cargo and strengthening port operations.
