The Port of Stockton carried out a special operation to handle the MV Houtmangracht, which was transporting Hyundai Electric transformer sets.
The units began their journey at the Port of Masan, South Korea, where they were loaded onto the heavy-lift vessel under a BBC charter contract.
Upon arrival at the terminal in California, a coordinated effort was required from HLI Rail & Rigging, Heavy Transport, and Dave Ramsey Express Trucking to safely unload, transport, and position the cargo in the terminal's storage area.
"We want to give a special thanks to SSA Marine, Bragg Heavy Haul, ILWU Local 54, and Teamsters Local 848 for another safe and efficient operation. Projects like this are only possible thanks to strong collaborations, careful planning, experienced professionals, and an unwavering commitment to safety," stated the Port of Stockton.
