On June 4, 2026, the "International Dry Bulk Shipping Seminar: challenges, solutions, and best practices" will be held in Santiago, Chile. This specialized event will bring together representatives from the maritime-port, logistics, and foreign trade sectors. The activity is supported by Puerto Ventanas S.A., Ultraport, and other entities linked to the sector, establishing itself as a technical forum focused on analyzing the current challenges of dry bulk maritime transport and regional intermodal logistics.
The seminar will address operational and regulatory aspects related to Dry Bulk transport, including stowage, loading and unloading processes, freight market, chartering contracts, and origin-destination logistics coordination. Furthermore, international regulations applied to maritime transport will be reviewed, such as the provisions of the International Maritime Organization, the IMSBC Code, and the SOLAS and MARPOL conventions. Among the confirmed prominent speakers are Pablo Rizzo, Luis Fuentes, Alejandro Valenzuela, Rafael Durán, José Tomás Lagos, and Luis Poggi.
The participation of specialists from port companies, legal firms, and logistics operators reflects the growing need to strengthen technical and regulatory capacities in the global supply chain of solid bulk. These types of events contribute to the exchange of best practices and the modernization of processes related to international maritime trade, promoting greater port competitiveness, regulatory compliance, and logistical resilience in the face of global trade challenges and specialized maritime transport.
