Asyad Container Terminal – Duqm (ACT), located in Oman, welcomed the CMA CGM Vasco de Gama, marking the vessel's first call at the terminal and setting a new milestone as the largest container ship ever to dock at ACT.
The vessel boasts a cargo capacity of approximately 18,000 TEU, and its arrival underscored the terminal's readiness to service the next generation of ultra-large container carriers.
According to the port facility, the recently implemented Navis N4 terminal operating system (TOS) allows it to offer globally recognized digital operational standards, along with modern infrastructure and deep-water access, ensuring safe, efficient, and reliable vessel operations.

According to the terminal, this location offers shipping lines the opportunity to access regional and international markets, while fostering supply chain resilience, operational flexibility, and future network optimization.
This milestone further reinforces the Sultanate of Oman's long-term vision to transform Duqm into a world-class integrated maritime, logistics, and industrial hub, in line with Oman Vision 2040.
