Damen to Deliver Two Methanol-Ready River Ships for TUI Cruises

TUI River Cruise has entrusted Concordia Damen with the construction of two newbuilds at its Werkendam shipyard.

The order for the 188-guest ships designed specifically for the UK market was announced in March.

Damen has now noted that the CDS River Cruise 135 vessel duo will have 94 cabins, with delivery expected in 2028.

In addition to what is described as an innovative hull shape and technological and sustainable features, these two newbuilds will be methanol ready.

This forms part of the company's fleet expansion, growing from six to ten ships, which will operate across Europe, the Rhine, Nile and the Douro.
