DP World San Antonio handled for the first time the container ship CMA CGM Copper, arriving from Buenaventura, Colombia. The vessel, 335 meters long and with a capacity of 13,136 TEU, operates under the Maltese flag.
The ship is part of the ACSA1/WSA4/TLP2 service and uses methanol as fuel. After its stop in Chile, it will continue to the port of Chancay, Peru, and then make a call at DP World Posorja, Ecuador, before continuing towards Asia.
The route strengthens maritime connectivity between South America and Asia through high-capacity services, integrating strategic ports on the Pacific coast. The planned call in Ecuador strengthens maritime connectivity with international markets and expands alternatives for the movement of containerized cargo.
