Tabsa and Finning signed a customer value agreement (CVA), through which both companies consolidated an alliance aimed at strengthening the reliability, availability, and operational sustainability of the shipping company's fleet, which provides services to the Magellanic community.
Within the framework of the agreement, one of the main advances is the integration of engines and generators into the VisionLink digital platform, a technology that will allow real-time monitoring of the main operational parameters of the equipment from anywhere. In practice, Finning specialists will be able to detect potential failures early and plan interventions before they compromise the continuity of navigations, anticipating deviations and making data-driven decisions. The CVA seeks to accompany Tabsa throughout the entire life cycle of its assets.
Cristóbal Kulczewski, General Manager of Tabsa, commented that "this agreement reinforces our relationship with Finning; it is worth remembering that TABSA has more than 70 Caterpillar units in the company, which strengthens our relationship for preventive and predictive maintenance to eliminate failures that engines may eventually present," highlighting that "this agreement allows permanent monitoring through data generated by the engines, which helps predict any condition for engine intervention, allowing Tabsa's operational continuity in the region."
"The agreement includes a comprehensive support program for the Caterpillar engines and generator sets operating on Tabsa's vessels, incorporating preventive and predictive maintenance, supply of original spare parts, permanent equipment condition monitoring, SOS oil analysis, specialized technical support, and high-availability remote assistance," highlighted Gonzalo Mitrovich, Branch Manager of Finning Punta Arenas.
