Shipping companies Maersk and Ocean Network Express (ONE) have initiated the progressive resumption of their operations in the port of La Guaira, Venezuela, following the earthquakes recorded on June 24. The return of maritime services is being carried out in a staggered manner, in coordination with local authorities and port operators, with the aim of ensuring logistical continuity.
Maersk reported that its operations will gradually return according to a schedule subject to infrastructure conditions, equipment availability, and terminal access. For its part, ONE confirmed the reactivation of its port calls and keeps bookings open for import and export cargo, while defining its operational schedule.
The recovery of activities in La Guaira represents a step forward for regional maritime connectivity and the stability of supply chains. The progressive reestablishment of services will strengthen commercial flow, improve users' logistical planning, and ensure the continuity of international maritime transport.
