As part of its commitment to the rescue and conservation of emblematic spaces in the city, the National Port System Administration (ASIPONA) Manzanillo carried out comprehensive maintenance and rehabilitation work on the emblematic Dancing Waters Fountain.
After the rehabilitation work was completed, the descriptive plaque of the fountain was placed this Monday, with the purpose of preserving its historical value and strengthening the sense of identity of the people of Manzanillo.
For ASIPONA Manzanillo, these actions represent a fundamental effort to revitalize public spaces that are part of the city's collective memory, restoring their attractiveness and reinforcing their function as meeting points and places for coexistence for families, visitors, and tourists.
The Dancing Waters Fountain is one of the most representative sites in the port, as it constitutes a space for socialization and recreation that contributes to strengthening social harmony as well as citizen coexistence.
As part of this rehabilitation, an informative plaque was installed on the monument.
The plaque of the Dancing Waters Fountain highlights the following legend: "Work delivered to the city in October 2008 by the State Government and ASIPONA (formerly API). Reactivated in 2026 by the Ministry of Navy and ASIPONA Manzanillo."
With these actions, ASIPONA Manzanillo reaffirms its commitment to the well-being of the community and strengthens the Port-City relationship, promoting the rescue of public spaces that are part of the identity, history, and pride of the people of Manzanillo.
