In a key milestone for the country's foreign trade and infrastructure development, the Paita Port Terminal —operated by Terminales Portuarios Euroandinos (TPE)— officially welcomed the vessel Caribbean Trader from Puerto Caldera (Costa Rica). This arrival marked the beginning of the new CHX3 service from COSCO Shipping Lines Peru.
The new route includes the strategic connection between Puerto Caldera – Paita – Chancay – Shanghai, an addition that significantly expands opportunities for commercial exchange with the Asian market, with a particularly positive impact on agricultural export cargo from northern Peru.
Under the leadership of the National Port Authority (APN), an entity attached to the Ministry of Transport and Communications (MTC), the National Port System continues to consolidate its infrastructure and international logistics network, promoting maritime services that strengthen the competitiveness of Peruvian ports and boost the national economy.
