Petroperú reported that the prices of the fuels it sells are aligned with the evolution of international markets, which in recent weeks have registered significant increases due to the escalation of the conflict in the Middle East.
Through a statement, it indicated that this situation has been accentuated by uncertainty about the full reopening of the Strait of Hormuz and recent attacks on oil tankers in the Red Sea and the Gulf of Aden.
Likewise, it specified that service stations affiliated with the Petroperú network are independent companies that determine the final sale price to the consumer without Petroperú's intervention.
On the other hand, regarding the fuel supply in Ucayali, the oil company stated that during recent days it has maintained the dispatch of diesel and gasoline from the origin plant, allowing for the regular replenishment of inventories at the Pucallpa Sales Plant.
Similarly, in anticipation of the strike announced by transport unions for this Monday, August 10, in Ucayali, it indicated that sufficient inventory is available both at the plant and in transit, thereby guaranteeing continuous dispatch.
"The company has the operational and logistical conditions to continue serving fuel orders and market demand in the region," the state oil company said.
It also indicated that it continuously monitors the supply chain and coordinates with distributors, clients, and transport companies in order to respond promptly to any contingency that could affect fuel supply.
"An additional scenario is to evaluate the viability of using the Fuel Price Stabilization Fund (FEPC)," it added.
Petroperú also reaffirmed its commitment to timely meet the demand for fuels in Ucayali and stressed that it will continue to adopt the necessary measures to ensure supply in the region.
