Callao reaffirms its position as Peru's main logistics hub and strategic gateway connecting the country with international markets. In a recent institutional visit, APM Terminals Callao had the honor of receiving the U.S. Deputy Secretary of State, accompanied by the U.S. Ambassador to Peru and a delegation of high-ranking officials from that country.
The official visit highlighted the relevance of the historic Callao port in boosting the regional economy. During the tour of the North Multipurpose Terminal, the delegation was able to witness firsthand the work involved in receiving and dispatching general and containerized cargo, which are essential for the competitiveness of Peruvian foreign trade.
