The Secretariat of Agriculture, Livestock and Fisheries of the Ministry of Economy of Argentina reports that agro-industrial exports between January and August 2026 set a historical record with 84.26 million tons and USD 37.525 billion, according to data processed by the Undersecretariat of Agri-food Markets and International Insertion, based on INDEC. Likewise, the data showed that 126 products achieved the highest amounts of the decade.
These results represent a year-on-year growth of 10% in volume and 13% in value for the aforementioned period.
Among the outstanding products are boneless, frozen beef with USD 1.889 billion (+40%); sunflower oil with USD 1.842 billion (+55%); boneless, fresh or refrigerated beef USD 1.051 billion (+36%); frozen crustaceans USD 756 million (+77%); sunflower with USD 623 million exported (+869%); honey with USD 223 million (+59%); lemon with USD 203 million (+45%); stripped tobacco with USD 158 million (+18%); mozzarella cheese with USD 183 million (+15%); sawn timber with USD 107 million (+25%); among others.
Likewise, products that still maintain low export amounts but reached a record are highlighted: oregano, roasted decaffeinated coffee, coriander seeds, kiwi, clover seeds, cereal bran, jojoba oil, tomato preparations, etc.
The main sales destinations for the agro-industry were India, China, Vietnam, Brazil, the United States, Chile, Peru, Saudi Arabia, Indonesia, and Malaysia.
Increases in sales to Bulgaria (+2,990%) due to sunflower; Romania (+424%) due to sunflower and peanuts; Mozambique (+388%) due to soybean oil; Jordan (+295%) due to sunflower oil, corn, and barley; the Philippines (+248%) due to corn and legumes; Thailand (+201%) due to wheat and legumes; Venezuela (+133%) due to soybean products; Turkey (+132%) due to sunflower, corn, and soybeans; Colombia (+103%) due to soybean oil and legumes; Spain (crustaceans and sunflower) and Israel (+81%) due to beef are noteworthy.
Agro-industrial exports show permanent growth month after month, consolidating the presence of products in the world.
