The Secretariat of Agriculture, Livestock and Fisheries of the Ministry of Economy of the Nation celebrates that Argentine beef obtained 10 medals in the second edition of the World Meat Championship (CMDC), which took place at La Rural.
The event, held for the first time in 2025, aims to highlight the quality of meats and all those who work in the production chain.
Among chefs, meat sommeliers, international experts, and trained consumers, a thousand participating judges determined which were the best steaks in the world.
Over the years, Argentine beef has positioned itself as one of the most recognized in the world. The vast territory with abundant pastures, optimal climate, and above all, top-tier livestock producers supported by a solid sanitary program and world-class genetic development, combine to achieve this international recognition.
Its main attributes to the consumer's senses are tenderness, juiciness, and aroma, creating an attractive and indisputable flavor that distinguishes it from other meats globally.
Meat produced in Argentina offers human health benefits such as a higher content of Omega-3 fatty acids and a superior balance between Omega-3 and Omega-6 (essential fatty acids). The most important benefit of these fatty acids is that they improve cardiovascular activity, the immune system's response, and also protect vision, among other qualities.
It is worth noting that the current agricultural policy prioritizes trade liberalization to promote production and the elimination of regulations that were an obstacle to producers' profitability.
