SolMIX ECO POWER, Bunge's liquid fertilizer, incorporates ARMOUR™ technology*, which temporarily inhibits nitrification, reducing the nitrate fraction and its consequent potential for loss due to leaching and denitrification.\n- It was evaluated in corn during the last season in the North of the Province of Buenos Aires, and the yield achieved exceeded conventional SolMIX by more than 500 kg/ha.\n- This result is part of Bunge's 200 Agro Expedientes, whose objective is to close the existing yield gaps between usual yields and potentially achievable yields in each area with existing technology.\n\nArgentina, October, 2024. Bunge shares new field results from the use of SolMIX ECO POWER liquid fertilizer, with ARMOUR™ technology, a state-of-the-art nitrification inhibitor, which features a patented active ingredient, Pronitridine, that reduces nitrogen loss, maximizing its availability for crop uptake.\n\nSolMIX ECO POWER was introduced in 2023, adding to the already known advantages of SolMIX the Pronitridine additive, which decreases the transfer of ammonium to nitrates, which is the component that can potentially leach when abundant precipitation occurs, and by avoiding these losses, the efficiency of the applied nitrogen is increased. In trials conducted before its launch, the efficiency increase was 35% compared to SolMIX without inhibitor, for a dose of 50 kg/ha of N.\n\n_"The addition of additives in nitrogen fertilizers is a global trend; their positive effect on efficiency translates into better yields for the same dose, with a reduction in environmental impact,"_ comments Matías Saks, Technical Coordinator at Bunge.\n\nSolMIX ECO POWER was evaluated in corn during the last 23-24 season in the North of the Province of Buenos Aires, Argentina, with excellent results.\n\nThe yield achieved with SolMIX ECO POWER exceeded conventional SolMIX by more than 500 kg/ha at both sites. "The additive performs well not only in sandy soils but also in heavy soils, especially if they have a slope," added Matias Saks. "These new technologies are exciting because they are very efficient from an economic point of view and manage to increase yields while reducing environmental impact thanks to greater use efficiency and lower greenhouse gas emissions," concluded the specialist.\n\nBunge is pleased to announce that this result is part of its 200 Agro Expedientes, whose objective is to close the existing yield gaps between usual yields and potentially achievable yields in each area with existing technology.\n\nThese yield Agro Expedientes - with information collected in the field, from different crops and productive areas of the country - allow sharing research experiences that Bunge in Argentina has been carrying out with its own technical team and/or with representatives from different associations for more than 10 years.
