Thus, over the last four months, specialized personnel from the SENASA Regional Center Buenos Aires Norte inspected the cargo of 1100 vehicles at 50 strategic circulation points, on provincial and national routes 5, 7, 8, 9, 12, 51, and 205, in the jurisdiction of the towns of Chivilcoy, San Pedro, Lima, Zárate, Cañuelas, Mercedes, Luján, Lincoln, San Andrés de Giles, San Antonio de Areco, Carmen de Areco, San Nicolás, Baradero, and Ramallo.
During these controls, 57 infraction reports were issued, detecting violations such as expired Equine Infectious Anemia tests and transport permits, apocryphal credentials, lack of transit permits, Electronic Transit Documents (DT-e), and Electronic Vegetable Transit Documents (DTV-e), elevated temperature of transported merchandise, unregistered nursery, and lack of identifying labeling on transported food merchandise.
As a consequence of the detected infractions, in accordance with current sanitary regulations, the transported merchandise (such as pork and beef products) was denatured due to lacking its labeling, transit permit, and sanitary endorsement that guarantee its traceability, decisive aspects to ensure the safety and suitability of the food.
With these controls, carried out with the support of the Gendarmería Nacional and the Traffic Safety Police of each municipality, SENASA strengthens its territorial inspection and sanitary control efforts, safeguarding public health throughout the entire agri-food production chain, ensuring the traceability, suitability, and safety of the food that reaches consumers daily.
