Chile: Liaison Officer Conducts Technical and Protocol Visit

During the day, the liaison officer was received by the Mayor (Tāvana) of Rapa Nui, Elizabeth Pakarati, with whom he held a meeting to discuss the role of the Liaison Officer and various aspects related to the work of the national Maritime Authority and local authorities.

Likewise, the official agenda included a technical visit to the Hanga Roa Maritime Governorate (GOBMAR), where, together with Frigate Commander Miguel Ángel Bravo, operational and jurisdictional issues inherent to the maritime and safeguarding scope were delved into.

The provincial presidential delegate of Easter Island, Mai Teao Osorio, was also present at the meetings. As a sign of fraternity, mutual respect, and the strengthening of bilateral relations, institutional gifts were presented to the island's authorities.
