The Secretariat of Agriculture, Livestock and Fisheries of the Ministry of Economy of the Nation reports that, through Resolution No. 175/26, procedures for accessing certain export tariff quotas have been modernized with the aim of facilitating exports.
The modernized regimes include exports of peanuts, peanut paste, and tobacco to the United States; dairy products to Ecuador; sweets, chocolates, and beef belonging to Quota II to Colombia; and peaches in syrup to Mexico. All with their respective applicable distributive criteria and the procedures for processing export certificates.
These modifications are made with the aim of facilitating access to quotas and promoting exports. This consolidates the management method for the aforementioned contingents into a single regulatory body, so that all commercial operators have access to precise and agile information on the tariff preferences granted to our country in international trade with these destinations.
The cases of some quotas that have not been completed in recent years, leaving a balance available at the end of the period, are also considered. Now, the "first come, first served" criterion will be used, as it is considered the best allocation method for tariff contingents that are not exhausted within the commercial cycle.
