In the framework of institutional linkage and technical dissemination activities, students from the Institute of Economic Studies of Mendoza, from the Foreign Trade program, carried out a guided visit to the Lazareto Quarantine Station, where they learned about the control, certification, and inspection procedures carried out by the National Agri-Food Health and Quality Service (SENASA).

As part of the meeting, the students toured the Lazareto, where they were able to observe in a practical way the daily operation of the facilities and the processes related to the certification of import and export of live animals and reproductive material.

During the day, authorities and professionals from the Metropolitan Regional Center presented on the main functions of the organization at a regional level, emphasizing tasks related to animal foreign trade, import and export certification, and operations in the port environment.

The opening and presentation were led by the Regional Director, who explained the actions carried out by the Organization in the metropolitan region. Also participating in the presentations were the supervisor of Foreign Trade and Waste Management, who detailed the regulatory and operational management of her area, and the head of the Lazareto Quarantine Station, Certification of Live Animals and Reproductive Material, who explained the strategic role of quarantine stations and the official protocols for the housing and sanitary control of animals.
