The Ministry of Ports and Airports (MPor), through the National Secretariat of Ports (SNP), has extended the deadline for submitting contributions to the public consultation on the Port Sector Plan (PSPort) 2050 until November 15, 2026. The document brings together guidelines to direct the development of Brazilian ports and identify the sector's infrastructure needs in the coming decades.

The proposal seeks to identify where it may be necessary to expand cargo handling capacity, which structures need improvements, and how to plan port investments in an integrated manner with other transport modes. The plan also covers topics such as port management, innovation, sustainability, and adaptation to climate change.

The consultation is open to civil society, port sector entities, companies, and other interested parties. The objective is to gather contributions from different segments for the improvement of the document before its consolidation.

The documents are available on the Brasil Participativo Platform, the same channel through which suggestions must be sent, exclusively via an electronic form. Submissions must be identified and substantiated. When presented on behalf of public bodies or legal entities, it is also necessary to prove the participant's representation.
