The Ministry of Ports and Airports (MPor) questioned airlines about the situation and, at the same time, requested the National Civil Aviation Agency (ANAC) to monitor the evolution of any cancellations throughout the day, in light of news of flight cancellations that could affect the Brazilian voter's right to vote.
According to the airlines, three departures were suspended due to operational reasons, but all passengers had already been rebooked on other aircraft. According to ANAC, operations are currently proceeding normally.
On average, more than 3,000 departures are made daily in Brazil. The Ministry of Ports and Airports reaffirms that the Brazilian airport infrastructure is prepared to serve the population, ensuring the necessary conditions for the safety, regularity, and efficiency of operations.
At this important moment for Brazilian democracy, our commitment is to ensure that citizens can travel smoothly to exercise their right to vote and democratic participation.
The Ministry of Ports and Airports will continue to monitor the situation throughout the day, in conjunction with ANAC and the airlines, to promptly identify any problems and ensure the adoption of necessary measures to guarantee the movement of voters.
