The sector foresees a possible reduction in production due to high temperatures related to El Niño and rainfall patterns. Guayas accounts for between 98% and 99% of mangoes destined for export, primarily of the Tommy Atkins, Ataulfo, and Kent varieties.

In 2025, Ecuador exported 59,210 tons of mango worth USD 56 million, according to Fedexpor, with the United States being the main destination. For the new season, producers are reinforcing prevention measures against potential rains and overflows that could affect plantations.
