Ecuador Organizes Regional Maritime Security Workshop with Five Countries

The Ecuadorian Navy, through the Maritime Fusion Center (CEFMAR), hosted a regional workshop organized by UNODC. The meeting brought together representatives from Argentina, Colombia, Ecuador, Peru, and Uruguay.

During the event, information exchange and cooperation among the region's maritime fusion centers were strengthened. These actions aim to improve the early detection of illicit activities and coordinated response at sea.

The meeting also addressed the use of 4.0 technology to enhance maritime domain monitoring and awareness. The initiative contributes to consolidating regional capabilities for safer navigation and protected seas.
