The Economic Commission for Latin America and the Caribbean (ECLAC) places Ecuador among the countries in the region that would register double-digit growth in their goods exports during 2026. This performance would be driven by the agricultural sector.
The increase in volumes and prices of products such as cocoa and coffee strengthens Ecuadorian exports and opens opportunities to diversify the national supply. International demand for agricultural products also favors the development of agro-industrial chains.
To sustain this trend, ECLAC highlights the importance of strengthening public-private partnerships and promoting investments in logistics infrastructure and climate resilience. These actions would contribute to improving the competitiveness of Ecuadorian foreign trade and its connection with international markets.
