The "Banana Export Chain Traceability" training program concluded with a session aimed at authorities, within the framework of SERPAZ, the Secure Cargo component.
September 7, 2026
The initiative was developed by CORPEI and Fedexpor, with the support of the European Union.
During the training, police officers and prosecutors learned about the processes carried out on farms and in ports, as well as the Banana Value Chain Traceability Guide. The document allows for the identification of the main processes the fruit undergoes from its production to its export.
These spaces seek to strengthen coordination between authorities and the banana sector, as well as understanding of the measures applied throughout the chain. Currently, the sector has allocated more than USD 100 million to security measures to strengthen a safer and more traceable export chain.
