València, October 28, 2026 – The rehabilitation of the metal structure of the elevated promenade of the Port of València has taken a new step after the Port Authority of València (APV) awarded the works to be carried out in the vicinity of La Marina. The action will allow for the repair of this space and improve the conditions of the promenade, which is integrated into one of the port area's public spaces.
The temporary joint venture (UTE) SORIGUE ACSA CONSERVACIÓN DE INFRAESTRUCTURAS S.A.U,-ACSA OBRAS E INFRAESTRUCTURAS SAU I has been awarded this project promoted by the APV, which has a budget of 2,257,841.15 euros (VAT included) and an estimated execution period of 15 months.
The works include cleaning, repair, and treatment of the metal structure, with the aim of reinforcing its preservation. Likewise, the benches and the pergola located at the end of the promenade near the port entrance will be repaired. The elements linked to the safety and functionality of the pedestrian route will also be improved and reinforced by upgrading the access stairs and railings, as well as the lighting.
Use of Renewable Energies to be Promoted
The tender also incorporates special environmental execution conditions. With the aim of promoting the use of renewable energies, the use of electric generators and compressors powered by thermal engines will be avoided. Likewise, materials suitable for reuse must be managed through an authorized manager.
This action joins other port-city interaction initiatives undertaken or planned by the Port Authority in the Marina area, such as improvements to the Muelle de la Aduana, in the vicinity of the Clock Building, or the project to relocate the old lighthouse, among others.
