El parking en altura del Paseo Pascual Pery tendrá 1.024 plazas y más de 20 millones de euros de inversión

The Board of Directors of the Port Authority of the Bay of Cádiz approves the granting of the concession to Iniciativas Sociales Productivas

Friday, October 30, 2026. The Board of Directors of the Port Authority of the Bay of Cádiz has approved the granting of an administrative concession to the company Iniciativas Sociales Productivas, S.L. for the construction and operation of a multi-story parking garage and commercial buildings on the esplanade of the Reina Sofía dock, next to Paseo Almirante Pascual Pery, a future area for port-city integration.

As is known, the port authority received a request in December 2025 from the company Iniciativas Sociales Productivas for the development of this project, for which the APBC had issued a public tender on two occasions, both of which were declared void.

After completing the mandatory administrative procedures, the port authority's Board of Directors today approved the granting of the concession, as well as the conditions that will govern it.

As planned, the project contemplates the occupation of a rectangular area of 12,646.52 m² on the Reina Sofía dock esplanade. The facility to be built takes advantage of the approximately five-meter difference in elevation between the Reina Sofía dock and the Pascual Pery promenade, so that the parking garage is practically flush with the upper promenade.

This space will generate 1,024 parking spaces, 509 on the ground floor and 515 on the first floor, with an investment of 20.2 million euros. Among other notable features, the parking facility includes the installation of 36 charging points for electric vehicles, 7 of which are in accessible spaces, with provision for future expansions.

It also incorporates complementary services such as bicycle rental, parcel lockers, and a vending area; as well as a 24-hour, 365-day-a-year service with physical staff presence, although it also offers online reservation and payment, license plate reading, electronic toll collection, and digital occupancy control systems.

The concession period is 50 years, and the maximum execution period for the work will be 16 months from the availability of the land.

The development of this project is considered a driving force for the overall port-city integration project in Cádiz, as its execution will allow further progress in the remaining actions.
