Representing the National Waterway Transportation Agency (ANTAQ), Director Alber Vasconcelos emphasized the Agency's importance for the realization of private investments stemming from the New Growth Acceleration Program - New PAC.
"If the New PAC has 80% private investments, the Agency needs to guarantee legal certainty for these private investments to materialize," the director highlighted. He also pointed out the country's significant role in the waterway sector, stating that "Brazil has 8,400 kilometers of coastline. The country is vast, practically a continent."
The statement was made during a panel at the Southern Brazil Regional Meeting, promoted by the Mixed Parliamentary Front for Logistics and Infrastructure (FRENLOGI) in partnership with the Santa Catarina Association of Radio and Television Broadcasters (ACAERT).
The meeting, which took place last Thursday (29/02), featured four thematic panels that debated the paths and opportunities for the rail, road, airport, and port and waterway modes, in addition to discussing the logistics of the national economy.
