Adora Cruises has announced a themed gala "Charming Flower City – Adora Sets Sail for Dreams," taking place during the maiden voyage of the Adora Flora City on November 22, 2026.
Developed in partnership with Guangzhou Culture Group and professional performing arts troupes, the event will see Chinese and international guests gather onboard for the maiden voyage festivities.
Five major Guangzhou performing arts organizations will come together for the occasion: the Guangzhou Acrobatic Arts Theater, Guangzhou Song and Dance Theater, Guangzhou Cantonese Opera Theater, Guangdong Music and Quyi Troupe and Guangdong Puppet Theater.
They will present a selection of performances, including acrobatics, Cantonese opera, puppetry, Guangdong music and song and dance.
"We aim to deeply integrate the aesthetic imagery of Guangzhou's traditional lifestyle and the innovative vitality of contemporary Guangzhou into an ocean-based cultural tourism setting, allowing guests to experience the charm of Chinese culture from the very first day they board," said Adora.
"Through the cruise ship as a platform, we hope to bring more outstanding Chinese culture to guests from China and abroad, enrich the cultural dimension of ocean vacations, and explore new possibilities for the dissemination of traditional culture."
Scheduled for delivery on November 6, 2026, the Adora Flora City will embark on her maiden voyage from the Nansha Cruise Homeport on November 22.
This will be a six-day, five-night journey departing Guangzhou and calling at Hong Kong, China, and Hue (Chan May), Vietnam.
Olympic diving champion Guo Jingjing will serve as the ship's godmother, officially naming it at a ceremony in Nansha.
