APT Luxury Travel's new nine-day "Luxury Mekong Cruise" itinerary combines a hotel stay in either Ho Chi Minh City (Saigon) or Siem Reap with a seven-night cruise through the heart of Vietnam and Cambodia aboard Mekong Serenity.
Launched in 2023 as APT's first custom-built and owned vessel on the Mekong, Mekong Serenity has 44 suites, all with balconies, and a crew of 44.
It has a swimming pool, Lemongrass Restaurant, Indochine Restaurant and a casual Horizon Bar & Grill.
Unlimited selected beverages (house wine, local beer, spirits and soft drinks), Wi-Fi, daily laundry service and excursions are included in the fare, which costs from A$6,295 per person twin-share, as well as transfers, porterage, port charges and gratuities.
Highlights of the "Luxury Mekong Cruise" include an exploration of Cambodia's capital city Phnom Penh, visiting the Royal Palace and the diamond-encrusted Silver Pagoda and a blessing from saffron-robed Buddhist monks in the historic former capital of Oudong.
Returning in 2027 is the 13-day "Vietnam and Cambodia Highlights" itinerary which includes witnessing sunrise over Angkor Wat, travelling by speedboat along the Saigon River to the Cu Chi tunnels and a private performance of the Apsara dance which traces back to Hindu and Buddhist mythology from the Angkor Empire.
The 21-day "Best of Vietnam and Cambodia" itinerary also returns, exploring life along the Mekong River in depth.
