(10:37 a.m. EDT) — Carnival Cruise Line's Carnival Radiance welcomed guests back in Long Beach on October 3, following a scheduled dry dock at Seaspan shipyard in Victoria, Canada.
During the 15-day dry dock, the ship received multiple enhancements, including a renewed Effy jewelry boutique and refreshed guest spaces in the interior and open deck areas.
Radiance also returned with Carnival's new "From Sea to Shining Sea" bow crest, symbolizing the company's American spirit.
Carnival Radiance operates year-round sailings from Long Beach, offering a mix of four- and five-day sailings to Baja Mexico and the Mexican Riviera, with stops in Ensenada and Catalina Island, as well as select 14-day Carnival Journeys to Hawaii.
Carnival Radiance entered service in 2000 as Carnival Victory. In 2021, the 2,984-passenger ship underwent an extensive $200 million refurbishment in 2021 and was renamed Carnival Radiance. The 2021 refit added popular Carnival features, such as WaterWorks slides, SkyCourse ropes course and a thermal suite, as well as Shaq O'Neal's Big Chicken restaurant.
