The cruise industry will welcome 84 new cruise ships to its fleet by 2039, according to the latest update of Cruise Industry News's global cruise ship orderbook.
Valued at $88.8 billion, the new vessels will add nearly 230,000 berths to the market.
CIN data also shows that the newbuilds will have a average size of 116,529 tons and an average cost of over $1 billion.
While eight vessels have already debuted this year, five are set to be delivered, including the MSC World Asia.
Under construction at the Chantiers de l'Atlantique shipyard in France, the 205,700-ton ship is the largest to debut through the end of 2026.
Recent orders helped push the numbers up, with Viking, Crystal, SeaDream, Four Seasons and United Waterways confirming plans to add more ships.

Crystal also confirmed a contract option with Fincantieri, effectively ordering a third sister ship for the 690-passenger Crystal Grace, which will be delivered in 2034.
As part of its 25-year celebrations, SeaDream announced plans to launch its first newbuild, the SeaDream III. The 230-guest vessel is expected to be built in China for delivery in 2029.
United Waterways is yet another brand that finalized a previously announced order, revealing plans to launch its first expedition newbuild. To be operated by Poseidon Expeditions, the 186-passenger ship is part of the company's white-label managing program and will be built by China Merchants.
Four Seasons announced it will add a third ship to its fleet in 2031 by ordering a new 190-passenger ship at the Fincantieri shipyard.
Other significant changes to the overall orderbook include earlier deliveries for two of Disney Cruise Line's newbuilds.
American Cruise Lines also announced changes to its nine-ship orderbook, which now includes the American Grace and the American Beauty debuting in 2028 and the American Rhapsody debuting in 2029.
