Debuting in Malaysia, the event is set to deliver a unique and diverse experience across two locations: Kuala Lumpur Nov. 16-17 and Penang Nov. 18-19.
Cruising across Asia is entering an exciting new phase. Under the theme "A New Era of Opportunity," the Malaysia event will explore emerging trends across Asia's cruise industry.
The conference will examine what is needed to turn the region's potential into lasting momentum: seamless operations, resilient itineraries, future-ready infrastructure and responsible growth that creates lasting value across Asia.
A few session highlights:
Following the opening keynote, the "State of Asia's Cruise Industry: A New Era of Opportunity" will feature the programme's most senior cruise line leaders sharing strategic priorities, deployment outlooks and perspectives on where the industry goes next. Together, they will explore: What will define Asia's next era of cruise growth, and where do industry leaders see the greatest opportunities ahead?
"Asia's Source Markets: Where Will the Next Guests Come From?" will compare where demand is emerging across the region, what is driving it and what different markets need to convert interest into sustained cruise participation.
"Smarter Borders, Smoother Cruise Journeys: Improving CIQ Across Asia"will examine opportunities for greater consistency, advanced passenger information, biometrics and more passenger-friendly border processes: How can Asia make border formalities simpler without compromising security or national requirements?
"Growing International Cruise Demand in Asia: Deployment & Fly-Cruise" will explore what makes Asia compelling to international cruise lines and long-haul travellers, and where the region must become more competitive.
Closing the conference programme, "Malaysia's Cruise Opportunity: What Will It Take to Grow?" will bring together Malaysian stakeholders to examine where the strongest opportunities really lie and what needs to happen next.
Further sessions across both conference days include "Asia's Shipyards: Building, Repairing & Upgrading the Cruise Fleet," "Luxury & Small Ships in Asia: What Destinations Need to Deliver," "Inside Cruise Itinerary Planning: How Routes Are Built - and Rebuilt," "Designing Asia's Cruise Experience: From Ship to Shore" and "Beyond Passenger Numbers: Creating More Local Value from Cruise."
A hop on, hop off bus tour of Kuala Lumpur will open the event activities on Nov. 16 morning by immersing attendees in the Seatrade Cruise Asia experience, followed by a networking lunch at the new Waldorf Astoria and an opportunity to connect with suppliers. The day closes with a welcome reception.
Open to cruise lines and exhibitors only, a networking breakfast on Nov. 17 will offer further opportunities for connection, with the gala dinner closing on the second day with a dynamic evening.
Following the conference programme, from Nov. 18, a two-day excursion of Penang will transport attendees to the culinary capital of Malaysia, culminating on the Penang Island excursion, a heritage exploration across cultural and culinary sites.
Finally, familiarisation trips organised by state tourism bodies will offer further opportunities to explore other parts of Malaysia.
Pricing for the Seatrade Cruise Asia Conference (Nov. 16-17) begins at $900 for international delegates. Malaysian residents get a special discounted rate of $450 upon presentation of valid identification, while cruise line executives attend complimentary with a promotional code.
For those seeking the complete experience, the Penang excursion can be added to any pass type for an additional $450.
