Swan Hellenic announced July as its strongest operational month on record with revenue up 170% year-on-year, driven by demand for polar expeditions as well as repeat guests.
2026 has seen Swan Hellenic operate three ships versus two for the three previous full years with SH Minerva reacquired in 2025 (in time for the 25/26 Antarctic season) having been idle for three years.
Total growth year-to-date is up 268% with latest August figures showing a continuing trend.
The company's core polar portfolio drove two-thirds of the total growth, with Arctic revenue tripling year-on-year, while Arctic guest volumes more than doubled (+125%).
New Asia-Pacific and Africa itineraries also performed well with repeat guest share more than doubling in the past two years, with a large number enjoying three or more expeditions so far.
Looking ahead, momentum continues to build notes Swan Hellenic. The upcoming Antarctica season is pacing 32% ahead of last year's performance.
"Our team is very proud of these exceptional results," commented Swan Hellenic CCO Mario Bounas who also thanked "our enthusiastic and insightful trade partners".
