Terra Nova Expeditions made the difficult decision to change its flagship vessel for the upcoming Antarctic seasons. Due to the current situation in the Middle East, the St Helena cannot be safely and timely repositioned from the Persian Gulf for the start of the inaugural season in Antarctica.
Over the past few months, their team has worked intensely to find a suitable alternative, after which they announced that they have secured the Terra Nova Adventurer for the next three seasons.
This is not a short-term solution. Securing it for the next three consecutive seasons reflects the confidence that, the company states, we have in this vessel and its suitability for the Terra Nova expedition program.
The Terra Nova Adventurer, formerly known as MS Expedition and G Expedition, is a proven polar vessel with decades of history in the Antarctic and Arctic. Its enhanced ice capability, expedition gear, and direct Zodiac boarding support a robust expedition experience, and we are further investing in soft furnishings, a remodeled bar and lounge, and a new jacuzzi and sauna on Deck 5 before its first season with us.

Aside from the change of vessel, there are no other changes to the expeditions our guests have booked: itineraries, included activities, and onboard programs remain as planned," explained Terra Nova Expeditions.
