GI illness/norovirus outbreak on Lindblad's ship National Geographic Sea Bird in Alaska
A gastrointestinal illness outbreak affected 12 people aboard the National Geographic Sea Bird during a 6-day voyage in Southeast Alaska that concluded on May 31st, according to the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. The outbreak involved nine guests and three crew members on the 152-foot vessel. Lindblad Expeditions implemented enhanced cleaning and disinfection measures, isolated symptomatic passengers and crew, and worked with the CDC's Vessel Sanitation Program regarding sanitation protocols.
