The United Kingdom Maritime Trade Operations (UKMTO) reported four vessels being attacked while transiting the Strait of Hormuz on 28 and 29 September.

The first incident occurred on 28 September when a vessel was struck by an unknown projectile, causing a fire onboard. The fire was later extinguished, and all crew were reported safe. The International Maritime Organization (IMO) identifies the vessel as Kuwait-flagged crude oil tanker Al Funtas.
On 29 September, three more vessels were hit by unknown projectiles while transiting the strait, according to UKMTO.
The first incident involved a crude oil tanker that was struck on its port side while transiting the Strait of Hormuz. The second involved an inbound tanker that was struck by an unknown projectile. IMO identified both vessels as the Vanuatu-flagged Mersin Prosperity and the Liberian-flagged tanker Sinbad.
Maritime intelligence company Vanguard Tech identified the third vessel as Bahamas-flagged LNG tanker Al Ruwais, which was struck by an unknown projectile.
Authorities reported that none of the tankers sustained any damage, all the crew were reported safe, and no pollution was observed.
