United Kingdom Maritime Trade Operations(UKMTO) also reported an incident involving an unnamed vessel struck by an unknown projectile near 28 nautical miles south-east of Al-Faw, Iraq. No further details about the vessel or the extent of the damage were immediately available.
The incident came on the same day as a separate attack on the tanker Hercules Star off Dubai, UAE, in which one crewmember was killed, and another remains missing.
