Puerto Antioquia, in Colombia, has incorporated the PEX2 maritime service, operated by CMA CGM, directly connecting the Turbo terminal with major Asian markets, including China. The route will have a weekly frequency and estimated transit times of between 34 and 36 days, expanding alternatives for international trade.
The service will be operated by vessels with an average capacity of 16,000 TEUs, strengthening the movement of containerized cargo between Asia and Latin America. According to the terminal, between 20% and 22% of Colombian imports from Asia are destined for Antioquia, which represents opportunities to optimize land routes and the distribution of goods.
With this connection, Puerto Antioquia expands its network of regular services and strengthens Colombia's connectivity with one of the main markets in global trade. The new route will allow importers and exporters to evaluate transportation alternatives, transit times, and logistics costs, favoring the planning of supply chains and foreign trade operations.
