When adidas set out to bring the Giant Trionda to life across North America during the summer of 2026, the goal went beyond moving it from city to city. It was about creating a brand experience that millions of soccer fans would see and feel and be a part of. The idea took shape as a way to celebrate the energy of teams and fans, both inside and outside the stadium, while giving each host city a recognizable adidas destination where people could gather, celebrate, and share the moment.
Instead of coordinating multiple providers across transportation, warehousing, delivery, installation, and site management, adidas worked with a single, accountable Maersk Ground Freight team. This reduced operational complexity, minimized handoffs, and reduced execution risk, allowing adidas to stay focused on delivering a consistent fan experience across North America.
Having Maersk manage the project end-to-end provided a single point of ownership, reduced coordination across multiple vendors, minimized handoffs, streamlined execution, and significantly reduced the operational burden on the adidas team.
