APM Terminals Appoints Kåre Spange as Managing Director of Terminals in Denmark

The port operator APM Terminals has appointed Kåre Spange as the new Managing Director for its terminals in Aarhus and Kalundborg (Denmark). The appointment will be effective on September 1st.

Details of Spange's career were provided on the APM Terminals website, stating that he "returns to Denmark after almost eight years as Managing Director of the APM Terminals joint venture container terminal in the port of Laem Chabang, Thailand. Previously, he held senior management positions in the United States, Latin America, Europe, and Africa within Damco and Maersk Line."

Regarding his appointment, Spange stated, "I am very much looking forward to joining the organization in Denmark. Aarhus and Kalundborg have highly qualified employees, strong customer relationships, and a culture characterized by great ambitions. This provides a solid foundation to build upon. Together, we will continue to develop safe, efficient, and sustainable terminals, with the aim of supporting Danish trade and economic growth through reliable and efficient container management. This requires strong teamwork, a supportive culture, and results-oriented collaboration with authorities and other key stakeholders, and I am excited to be part of this project."

The new Managing Director will replace Mikael Gutman, who will move on to cooperate in the company's strategy in Europe.
