ITI and Sinadop close collective bargaining in Iquique

Iquique Terminal Internacional (ITI) and the Sinadop union concluded their early collective bargaining process, an agreement that benefits 43 workers who primarily work in administrative and operational areas of the terminal.

The negotiation was carried out under an unregulated process and lasted for approximately one month, culminating in the signing of a new collective agreement with a validity of three years.

Eladio Solar, ITI's People Area Manager, valued the positive development of the process. "We highlight the willingness of the leaders and members of the union to reach consensus in an environment of dialogue and respect. The entire process was carried out with a focus on the company's sustainability, operational continuity, and the commitment to continue providing excellent service to our clients," he stated.

For his part, the president of the Sinadop union, Cristián Carrasco, highlighted the climate of understanding that characterized the negotiations. "Throughout the process, fluid and high-level dialogue prevailed. There was willingness and disposition from both parties, which allowed important agreements to be reached for our associates. We value the respect with which this negotiation was carried out and the ability to build understandings that contribute to the well-being of the workers and the development of the organization," he indicated.
