Directors and teachers from the National Technological Institute of Mexico, Colima Campus, visited the Port of Manzanillo on Tuesday, August 25th, where they were received by the General Directorate of the National Port System Administration Manzanillo (ASIPONA Manzanillo).
During the meeting, the General Director of ASIPONA Manzanillo explained the strategic importance of the port, its infrastructure and operations, as well as its role as one of Mexico's main logistical and commercial hubs. He also presented the main scope and characteristics of the Puerto Nuevo Manzanillo project.
As part of the day, the academics toured the facilities of the Port of San Pedrito, where they directly learned about some of the infrastructure and operations carried out in this port area. Subsequently, they moved to the Cuyutlán Lagoon to learn about the scope of the Puerto Nuevo Manzanillo project and its relevance for the growth and strengthening of port activity.
The Director of the National Technological Institute of Mexico, Colima Campus, as well as teachers from the different careers offered by the institution, participated in the meeting.
The rapprochement allowed for the exchange of knowledge and perspectives between the port sector and the academic community of TecNM Colima Campus, in addition to identifying opportunities to strengthen collaboration and links with new generations of professionals.
ASIPONA Manzanillo reaffirms its willingness to maintain close dialogue with educational institutions and contribute to the training of specialized talent that responds to the current and future needs of the port and logistics sector.
