The contracting board for the renovation of the southern road of the Actimarsa industrial estate proposes awarding the work to Servicios y Obras del Norte
This action represents an investment of 643,192 euros, has an execution period of three months, and is expected to begin in October.
The president of the Autoridad Portuaria de Santander (APS), César Díaz, explained that the objective of these works is “to reestablish optimal conditions for circulation, on a road that supports intense and frequent heavy vehicle traffic and that is fundamental both for the internal mobility of the industrial estate and for access to the Marina del Cantábrico marina”.

The contracting board for the renovation of the southern road of the Actimarsa industrial estate has proposed awarding the works to the company Servicios y Obras del Norte, S.A., for an amount of 643,192 euros and an execution period of three months. It is expected that the works will begin during the month of October, once the entire administrative process has been completed.
According to the president of the Autoridad Portuaria de Santander (APS), César Díaz, it is a road “that supports intense and frequent heavy vehicle traffic and that is fundamental for the internal mobility of the industrial estate” and, therefore, “for the economic activity that takes place in this industrial area”.
“The deterioration of the pavement made an action necessary that will improve safety and guarantee optimal conditions for road circulation,” he assured.
Díaz stressed that “we are constantly working on the improvement and conservation of our infrastructures, especially those that are used daily by companies, workers, and residents.” In this case, “we are acting on a road that is especially important due to its industrial nature, but also because it is the main access to the Marina del Cantábrico marina,” he pointed out.
The contract includes milling the existing pavement, cleaning and leveling areas with deficient bearing capacity, laying hot bituminous mixture pavement, constructing speed bumps and raised crosswalks, and painting road markings and installing vertical signage.
The southern road of the Actimarsa industrial estate is located in the municipality of Camargo, within the Service Zone of the Autoridad Portuaria, and includes a road 1,800 meters long and 12 meters wide which, together with the intersections with the transverse roads, represents an action area of approximately 22,000 square meters.
